WHY
WHY = Be and make disciple-makers to the 4th generation and beyond
HOW = The "HOW" of EqX is built on a specific, high-speed training that moves away from passive listening and toward active reproduction.
While the "Why" is multiplication, the "How" is the EqX-222 Framework: a systematic process that uses low-tech, high-impact tools to move a person from a seeker to a church planter. How is the “WHY” implemented.
WHAT = Is the HOW using the tools learned to implement Obedience Based Discipleship
WHY
At its core, Equip for Multiplication (EqX) exists to shift the focus from merely "adding" followers to "multiplying" disciples. The "why" is rooted in the belief that the traditional model of one leader teaching many is often too slow to reach entire communities.
Instead, EqX aims to ignite a Disciple-Making Movement (DMM) that is biblical, simple, and—most importantly—reproducible by anyone, anywhere.
EqX isn't just about sharing information; it’s about creating a culture where disciples make-disciples until every person has had the opportunity to hear and respond.

The Biblical Foundation: 2 Timothy 2:2
The "EqX-222" strategy is derived directly from the Apostle Paul’s instructions to Timothy:
"And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others."
This creates a four-generation chain of leadership:
Paul
(The original trainer)
1
Timothy
(The disciple)
2
Reliable People
(The third generation)
3
Others
(The fourth generation)

Strategy
The mission is driven by three specific goals:
Empowerment of the Laity (Priesthood of the Believer - 1 Peter 2:5,9):
EqX moves ministry out of the hands of "professionals" and into the hands of every believer. By using simple tools like Identity and Purpose, anyone can start discipling a new believer.

Rapid Geographic Reach:
By establishing Houses of Peace (HoP), the movement can penetrate neighborhoods and regions (like the current work in the coffee district, northern coast of Colombia and Orinoquia) faster than traditional church building projects.
Sustainability:
Because the methods are simple and don't require expensive infrastructure, the movement can survive and thrive even in resource-poor or high-pressure environments.

HOW
The "HOW" of EqX is built on a specific, high-speed training that moves away from passive listening and toward active reproduction.
While the "Why" is multiplication, the "How" is the EqX-222 Framework: a systematic process that trains the disciple in simple reproducing tools to quickly begin sharing the Gospel and start making disciple-makers.

1. The Method: The 3/3s Pattern of Obedience based Discipleship
Every EqX gathering (whether in a living room or a formal training) follows the 3/3s (Three-Thirds) format. This ensures that every meeting is not just a "class," but a launching pad for action.
-
Look Back (1/3): Member care, worship, and accountability (did you follow through on last week's "I will" goals?).
-
Look Up (2/3): New Bible Story/Lesson through a Discovery Bible Study (DBS) or a specific EqX tool (like the 3-Circles or Identity).
-
Look Forward (3/3): Practice the tool and set "I will" goals for the coming week.
2. The Strategy: The 5 Parts of the 4 Fields
The laborers are trained on the 5-Parts of the 4-Fields learning how this process becomes a movement of discipleship and church planting strategy.

3. The Leadership Model: MAWL + APEST
This is the specific "How" of leadership development. It prevents the movement from becoming dependent on a single leader.
-
Model: I do, you watch.
-
Assist: We do it together.
-
Watch: You do, I watch and encourage.
-
Launch: Releasing those trained (EqX remains available for coaching).
-
APEST: Identifying the 5-fold gifts (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Shepherd, Teacher) to balance the team.
WHAT
The Process: The 4 Fields
Entry:
Finding "Persons of Peace" in new communities.
Gospel:
Sharing one's story of going from brokenness to Jesus and the 3-circles evangelism tool.
Church/Leadership:
Forming simple, biblical house churches training in the five-fold ministry of church leadership and membership.
Discipleship:
Implementing "3/3rds" discipleship in Discovery Groups called “Discipleship of Obedience”. Using tools to explain their identity and purpose, who to share with, what to share and when to pray and and disciple.

The "WHAT" of Equip for Multiplication (EqX) is a decentralized, rapidly expanding Disciple-Making Movement (DMM). If the "WHY" is the mission and the "HOW" is the strategy, then the "WHAT" is the tangible result: a network of simple, self-replicating spiritual communities.
In practical terms, EqX is a training and mobilization organization that provides the tools to turn ordinary believers into "Multiplying Disciples."
1. The Core Product: The "EqX-222" Training
The primary "What" is a streamlined curriculum designed for 4th-generation multiplication. This includes:
-
The 411 are 4-Equiping tools: A 1-hour training that equips someone to share the Gospel and initiate multiplication. (developed by trainers like Curtis Sergeant,Jeff Sundell and others involved in "No Place Left" strategies)
-
The 7 Commands of Christ: A short-term discipleship track focused on immediate obedience.
-
The Church Circle: A tool to help small groups recognize themselves as a healthy, functioning simple church.
2. The Organizational "What": A Catalyst
EqX acts as a Catalytic Ministry. It is not a traditional denomination or a stationary church building. Instead, it is:
-
A Resource Provider: Developing bilingual (English/Spanish) training materials for local leaders.
-
A Training Hub: Hosting "Trainings" and "Expeditions". The Expeditions will partner with local churches to reach their communities. This partnership encourages the Local Church in Barranquilla, Armenia (Coffee District), Caquetá, Orinoquia, and Leticia.
-
A Coaching Network: Using the MAWL (Model, Assist, Watch, Launch) process to mentor national leaders in Colombia and beyond.
3. The Result: Houses of Peace (HoP)
The "What" in the field is a growing number of Houses of Peace. These are:
-
Simple: They meet in homes, cafes, or parks.
-
Indigenous: Led by local people using their own language and cultural context.
-
Self-Sustaining: They don't require outside funding to exist or multiply.
4. The Digital Presence: The Global Funnel
We are currently building a digital space:
-
A Bilingual Web Platform: A digital home for EqX resources.
-
Google Ad Grant Strategy: A system to find "seekers" online and funnel them into real-world discipleship groups.
Summary of the "What"
